Loving your Neighbor
06.03.2020 How are you loving your community? Who is your neighbor?
5.24.2020 Our Praise & Worship has been happening online! Sing with us!
Hello, One Church friends and family.
It is with heavy heart that I write you this newsletter. With everything that is happening around the world. Wow. What a year. 2020, personally, began with a death in our immediate family. Then the tragic death of LA star, Kobe. Followed by COVID-19, which completely changed the way we live for past three months. Latest news coming in the horrific death of Floyd, then the protests, and civil unrest all across America. Recently, my pastor friend expressed, we are not even half way through this year.
In times like this, we continually realize the crucial need for Christ and the church. It took US long enough time to recognize the church as an essential place, but now churches are opening up across America to comfort the hurting souls and to preach the truth into the hearts of believers and unbelievers. With all that has happened in the world, I cried and prayed almost every night because I know and trust that God alone is in absolute control with all the current events though we may feel completely lost at times.
With such understanding, we are so excited as elders of the church are preparing to worship together physically in person. There are much work to do before we can open the doors to meet all the government guidelines so please keep your eye out for next newsletter and continue to pray for us, so we can meet again quickly, wisely, and safely.
One of the government requirement in church meeting physically is making sure internet streaming happens at the same time. Thankfully, we are more than blessed to continue this online mission on Sundays, 1:11PM at facebook.com/laonechurch/live. God has been mightily using this tool to reach out to so many people and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ! Thank you for your support and prayer.

5.10.2020 Sunday Message
Today, we used one of the greatest gifts from our God, online: prayer. The church gathered to pray for Floyd's family, protesters, law authorities, and against the injustices, racism, and sins of our nation. We know God has heard us and He will be glorified through us and through all the events in the world. Let use this gift mightily and often during this painful and turmoil time. If you would like to pray with us, let us know and we will meet on Zoom!
Who said COVID-19 has to stop us from sharing the love to our neighbors? Who said the civil unrest has to stop us from sharing the love of Christ? It is all the more reason to be faithful and proclaim Jesus, the true hope and light to our family and friends. LA One Church has been wise, discerning, intentional and missional during this time by reaching out to our community by sharing food, books, and the gospel. If you would like some ideas in loving your neighbors and community, e-mail us and we would like to support your gospel outreach, spiritually and financially! Looking forward to hearing from you!
